IIHE participation in the be.HEP Summer Solstice Meeting 2026
The IIHE participated in the be.HEP Summer Solstice Meeting, held on 19 June 2026 at the University of Antwerp. This meeting is part of a long-standing tradition of the Belgian high-energy physics community, with gatherings organised around the summer and winter solstices to bring together researchers from both the experimental and theoretical communities. It provides an opportunity to discuss recent results, exchange ideas, and strengthen collaborations across the Belgian HEP community.
Members of the IIHE contributed to the scientific programme by presenting the institute’s activities in particle and astroparticle physics.
The poster session showcased the work of young researchers. We are pleased to announce the three poster prize winners: Vital De Henau (IIHE-VUB, Investigating Double-Bump Air Showers with SKA-Low), Félix Rosso (IIHE-ULB, Supernova and Atmospheric Neutrino Preliminary Results in JUNO), and Jules Vandenbroeck (UGent, Transforming Leptons: Machine Learning for Lepton Identification in CMS).
Congratulations to the poster prize winners, and thanks to the organisers for continuing this valuable tradition within the Belgian high-energy physics community.
